IEDD/EOD Mentor Lead
Duties, Accomplishments and Related Skills:
The IEDD/EOD Mentor Lead reports to the Operations Manager and is responsible for the successful implementation and delivery of SafeLane Global Limited Mentoring and Training. As the IEDD/EOD Mentor Leader, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Deliver IEDD/EOD technical support to deployed SafeLane Mentors, AMISOM and SSF personnel across all Areas of Operations.
· Ensure all AMISOM and SSF personnel reach a standard that they can safely operate within the environment and associated threat following SafeLane mentoring and training instruction.
· Ensure AMISOM and SSF personnel are kept up to date on threat, terrorist TTP’s, device design, new or changing Render Safe Procedures and final clearance.
· Provide continual assistance and support to deployed IEDD / Search and Medic Mentors.
· Support and coordinate the preparation of all IEDD Mentors for accreditation and deliver regular refresher training.
· Implementation of safety standards and procedures according to approved SafeLane SOP’s and other in-country standards and procedures, SafeLane Quality Management (QM), Quality Assurance (QA), and Quality Control (QC) procedures/systems.
• Develop, propose, and upon approval, implement new systems and techniques to enhance further and improve in-country training
• Draft, collate and disseminate technical and training reports as required for the Operations Manager and project management team
• Collate and submit accurate and timely sector specific weekly and monthly progress reports and statistics for delivered training as required by the Operations Manager
• Draft and formulate training schedules and monitor, conduct and oversee continuation training.
• Provide any refresher training to deployed mentors in accordance with the SafeLane QM system.

Duties, Accomplishments and Related Skills:
The Advisor/Mentor is responsible for the implementation and delivery of EOD/IEDD technical training courses to AMISOM as per the Statement of Work(SoW).
· Directly responsible to the Training Officer and Operations Officer. Ensures that all the procedures are conducted as per approved SOPs, Training Management Plans and other applicable in-country standards and procedures. Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Supervisor
Duties, Accomplishments and Related Skills:
· Conducted/directed and supervised tactical EOD operations in direct support of Overseas Military Operations.
· Provided critical intelligence and training to influence and shape Military Operations abroad.
· Gathered, analyzed, and reported critical intelligence to high ranking Intelligence Officials within Military and Civilian channels.
· Responsible for the planning, directing, and supervision of sustainment training, cross-training, enhancement training, and mentoring of all 25 personnel.
· Performed duties as the Logistics Chief responsible for maintenance, Marine Corps Integrated Maintenance Management System (MIMMS), supply inventories, and calibration of EOD tool sets and equipment valued at over $500,000.
· Provided EOD search capability to the Secret Service and Department of State as directed for the President and Vice President of the United States.
· Conducted Testing & Evaluation to provide feedback to Naval Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division (NAVEODTECHDIV) for new EOD tools being fielded to all units. The direct result of these tests determined which tools would be used in forward Military Operations abroad across all branches of the Armed Forces.
· Researched, planned, and managed the contracting of Full Spectrum Battle Equipment (FSBE) through outside vendors. These contracts saved the department thousands of dollars per piece of equipment as well as hundreds of man hours saved in maintenance.
· Entered and updated Office of Personnel Management investigation and security clearance information for EOD personnel in the Investigations Tracking System (ITS).
· Performed a variety of administrative and technical functions such as preparing reports relating to the personnel clearance status, exercising custodial responsibility for personnel security case files and conducting security briefings and debriefings.
· Assisted the Personnel Security Manager in establishing the position sensitivity/risk level designation for EOD applicants and Technicians.
